History

The University of Saskatchewan Women’s Softball Program was initiated by a long time softball builder Rin Fisher who organized the first team program in the Winter of 2007 and laid the foundation to enter the University of Saskatchewan Women’s Softball team into it’s first season starting fall of 2008 into the Western Canadian Collegiate Softball Association league play. Ron stayed very active ensuring the program was a very positive experience for the young softball players attending classes at the University of Saskatchewan. The program started with immediate success with a Canadian Collegiate National Championship Title within it’s 1st year of operation. After that year the program began a very long and successful program. The program supported by the Saskatoon Amateur Softball Association and its Softball Legacy Program have provided financial support to ensure the program maintained a high level of programming. Another major supporter since it’s inception its inception is the Federated Cooperatives who have provided Financial support of the program since 2008
